Question: Is Taylor available to come perform at my school, university, library, or coffee shop?
Answer: Absolutely! That's what he does now; he can teach workshops in poetry, short fiction, and performance. He can read, recite, and perform poems and stories for audiences of all ages. He once taught a poetry unit to an enthralled math class. He's done his fair share of graduation speeches. He's performed for as many as 5,000 and once for as few as six.
As far as payment goes, Taylor is rarely involved in the negotiations these days. Please call his speaker representative to see what you can discover.
Taylor has changed representatives and is no longer represented by Bret Scott or Global Talent Associates. If you've started a project with Bret Scott at Global Talent Associates, you must contact Taylor or his new representative to see where things stand. And all new projects should go through Alison Granucci or Ofer Ziv at Blue Flower Arts (845) 677-8559.
Occasionally, but much less frequently than in the past, Taylor performs for free.
So call Alison or Ofer. They are not typical, fast-talking, unscrupulous, New York agents. They are normal people who can answer all your questions; and they can't actually say "No, Taylor won't do that." If you have an offer, they'll pass it along. If they don't get back to you within a week, email Taylor directly and he'll figure out where the ball is being dropped.
